PDP asks Oshiomhole to produce primary six certificate
All Peoples' Congress (APC), Edo, NNP News, Party Politics, Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), State News Tuesday, August 4th, 2020(NNP) Former governor Adam Oshiomhole has been challenged to tell the people of Edo why he has publicly disowned his successor whom he sold to the state as a capable administrator and worthy successor and alumnus of Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan. The challenge, thrown out by Chief Dan Orbih, Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council for Edo Governorship election while addressing supporters in (Ward 5) Ososo and (Ward 10) Dangbala, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, also asked the former governor to prove that he completed primary school.
He stated, “They said Governor Godwin Obaseki who graduated from University of Ibadan has a Certificate. I’m bold to say that I challenge Adams Oshiomhole to show us his primary six Certificate.” He further stated, “He should allow Edo people to decide who governs them…In four years, Godwin Obaseki has done more than what Oshiomhole did in eight years.”
Gov. Obaseki used the opportunity to tout his accomplishments in the last four years, which includes the completion of a 12.75km Ososo-Okpella road by the end of the year, a project he indicated was abandoned by the Oshiomhole’s administration. He also stated that his government is committed to the maintenance of the Ojirami Dam project that was initiated by the regime of the celebrated Edo statesman and former military governor, the late Brig. General Samuel Ogbemudia (Rtd).
